GANDHI de LaVITRINA          PFHA #PENDING             Bay  Stallion                  3/28/91
Privilegio de La Vitrina (Rescate) x Gaitana de La Vitrina (Resorte III)
Sire of Dorado Sur de Colores. Benjamin Leon, Hacienda de Besilu, Gandhi’s present owner, gives us history on Gandhi.  “I still remember perfectly the Paso Fino show in Rio Negro , Antioquia , Colombia in February 1994, specifically the event for halter colts in training, 18-24 months old.  In this class, 12 Paso Fino colts competed.  Out of this group, there was an outstanding colt with beautiful conformation, perfect form, and spark in his movements, very proud and with great stage presence, almost like a god.  With symmetrical movements, this colt had perfect croup form, elasticity in his hind legs and extremely defined gait, always wanting to be one step ahead of his exhibitor.  This beautiful colt, but the name of Gandhi, won easily the championship in this event, impressing everybody in the arena.  Two years later, I found Gandhi at Criadero La Vitrina, where I learned they had training problems with this promising colt due to an unforeseen accident which caused him a muscular injury.  This horse spent over eight months recuperating after his mishap and, due to his age and injury at the time, lost the possibility to be competitive in the ring and was only left with his future as a sire.”
