Amadeus was bred by Don Jairo Agudelo, bought by Don Fabio Ochoa at a young age and given to his daughter Angela Ochoa. He is owned by Criadero Agualinda , Medellin, Colombia, Angela's farm. Amadeus is one of the most influential breeding stallions today from Colombia with over more than 1900 offspring.   He has been named Fuera de Concurso, Campeon de Campeones, Mejor Jefe de Raza and Mejor Caballo del Ano (for 5 consecutive years) in Colombia, as well as a Top Ten Sire for PFHA for many years. Some of Amadeus' most known offspring are: Patrimonio del 8, Resplandor III, Atrevido del 8, Concierto II del 8, Magnate, La Dominica, La Luciernaga, Martinica, La Polka del Juncal, Atrevida de Las Palmas, and  Incertidumbre.
